Particularly with the deep editing functions of Bias I'd say a connector of this quality is essential in order to hear the difference of these editing parameters.įinally it's much more rugged than previous versions. Whilst apps like Bias and Ampkit will never deliver like a real Fender Twin using this higher quality connector a lot of the harmoics previously lost came through giving a much more realistic and usable sound. I've always felt that clean sounds are hardest to emulate, particularly with understandably cheaper guitar apps rather than standalone units and computer based programs. At first I couldn't believe it but switching back and forward between my old connector and this showed that the difference was astounding. Everything is much more clearer and responsive. Switching to this was the equivalent of getting glasses for the first time. Previoisly I had owned a normal Ampkit link and had also used the connection on my iLoud speaker to connect my guitar. It's amazing though how such a small piece of kit can bring so much additional function.īest of all it means my tiny practise amp now sounds like it never could before and I don't have to throw it out or fill the room with more kit ! I've only managed to try this out a on few occasions since buying it but there seem to be plenty of options / adjustments in the iApp - haven't figured out how to record and then overlay / play against recordings yet - but it's early days. That's the reason I don't score this product a 5* because I was under the impression it was i5 compatible - but using on iPad is probably a better option in the end when trying to select stuff. ![]() I am using this with iPad rather than my iPhone 5 (which I found was unable to be used because the cable supplied isn't the mini cable for i5 - it's the larger connector for i3, ipad, etc). ![]() Now I have ability to pick from a set of Amp, speakers and BEST OF ALL, a stack of virtual pedals which I purchased for <£10 and gives me equivalent of £100's of effects pedals at my disposal. Had been consdiering purchase of a Line6 amp for ages but then spotted this on YouTube and it's such a cool idea. ![]()
